We take pride in offering you and your pet the best service and best value in the industry. Our staff strives to be the best in every aspect of the pet grooming experience. We use quality shampoos and conditioners to keep your pet looking good while maintaining a healthy coat. Our groomers and staff are at the center of your experience and we ensure your special pet is treated as if it was our own.
The well being of your pet is of special importance! Every pet that is placed in our care is treated with the same care we provide to our own animals. We have a very knowledgeable staff that is familiar with many various breeds and species. Arriving at the grooming shop can be a stressful time for some of our furry friends. Therefor it is our top priority to make your pet feel special each time they come to visit. However, if for any reason our staff feels that your pet is overly stressed and acting in a way that may cause itself or our staff harm or even question anything in reference to your pet we will cease work and call you right away to discuss how you would like to proceed. We are committed to take utmost care of your pet.
The little things are just as important to us as the major goals when getting your pet groomed. Next time your pet comes by notice the way the feet are scissored, the pads of the feet are shaved, the private areas trimmed, the ears are cleaned, and the way the coat feels. Our grooming service takes 3-4 hours and provides what others charge extra for at a level of quality that is unmatched. Meet the Owner & Groomer
Christina Causey
Christina has been a Professional Pet Groomer since 2017. Her experience ranges from working as a kennel tech and vet tech assistant in small veterinarian and boarding facilities to licensed
veterinarian technician and practice manager in corporate veterinarian practices to small salon and boarding facilities. Her love for animals has been life-long and stems from her adolescent
childhood; she grew with horses and various breeds of canines, such as Rottweilers, Labradors, and Walker-hounds. She has always had a love for working with animals and animal care for much of her life but did not discover her true passion for animals until she began her Pet
Grooming career. She currently has two dogs that are VERY much a part of her family: a Boston Terrier (Isabella) and a Chihuahua (Tachi).
Meet Our Groomer
Vilma Contreras
Vilma provides service with a smile and believes in loving your pet. She has been passionate about the well-being of all animals since she was a kid. She was that child who brought home all the stray pets. Because of a stray pet that she rescued in 1991, she got started with her career becoming a pet groomer. The poor dog that she recued was n such bad condition. She called all of the grooming salons in her neighborhood, but no one would take him. She went to her local store and bought a set of clippers and shaved him herself. She knew in that moment that she found her true passion and decided to make this her career.
She attended school and later graduated as a licensed groomer. This was a way to combine her love for animals and self-fulfillment with a career she loves. She treats every pet that come to the salon with love and compassion as if it was her own.
The best part of her job is that she loves what she does! She always makes sure that she gives her customers 100% of her experience to provide them comfort and knowledge in the care for their pet, to ensure that they are happy and healthy.
Meet our Receptionist/Bather
Jacy Royal
She is originally from a small town located in Georgia. While growing up, Jacy could always be found tending to farms animals, playing dress up with her Jack Russel Terriers, and teaching her bird, Taco, how to speak.
Through the years, Jacy took interest in rescuing and fostering dogs, cates, snakes, or any animals in need. In doing this Jacy discovered her unique love for animals and desired to pursue a career working with them in any way possible. She found herself becoming a huge asset in the animal rescue community of Columbia, Sc, with her best friend Diesel, her rescued Pitbull Terrier, always by her side. As well as her family’s dachshunds.
This gravitated her towards the grooming field. While working at Special Pets Hair and Care as the receptionist/bather, her passion has greatly intensified turning her dream into an official start to her journey. Jacy is currently studying and training to become one of Special Pets Hair and Care upcoming new groomers.
